Tottenham target sends three-word message to Harry Kane on Instagram as Levy plots £50m bid
Writing on Instagram, Tottenham transfer target Kalvin Phillips has sent a three-word message to star striker Harry Kane amid rumours that chairman Daniel Levy is plotting a £50 million bid to sign the Leeds United enforcer next summer.
Phillips, who has been a revelation for the Whites under Marcelo Bielsa, earning his first England caps this season after the Yorkshire club were promoted to the Premier League, has attracted interest from Levy and Spurs boss Jose Mourinho according to the Daily Mirror.
Indeed, as per this report, Levy is potentially set to invest heavily in bringing Phillips to north London as the club and Mourinho eye their first piece of silverware since 2008.
Phillips sends message to Kane
After England’s 2-0 loss to Belgium in the UEFA Nations League last night, the heavily linked 24-year-old sent a three-word message to Kane after he earned his 50th Three Lions cap – simply stating ‘congratulations big man‘ in reply to this Instagram post.

Phillips is reportedly set to spark a £50 million transfer battle between Spurs and Liverpool next summer, but if the Lilywhites could land him, he would arguably reinforce the Tottenham midfield to no end.
He has even averaged more tackles per 90 this season than summer signing Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg, and it’s arguable he would partner the Dane to devastating effect in front of the back four.
