'Fast becoming a legend', 'Get in' - Plenty of Everton fans laud 'brilliant' news
Plenty of Everton fans have been celebrating the first call-up to the England national team for Dominic Calvert-Lewin, after Gareth Southgate included him in his latest squad.
As confirmed by the official Twitter page of the Three Lions, the 23-year old joins his fellow teammates Jordan Pickford and Michael Keane in the squad; a reward for the great start to the 2020/21 term that he has made.
Indeed, Calvert-Lewin has scored a rather impressive eight goals in just five games in all competitions so far for the Goodison Park faithful, according to Transfermarkt.
The striker will be hoping that he can replicate his hot form under Carlo Ancelotti for his country and therefore be ready to fire on all cylinders for when he returns to the Toffees when the break finishes.
These EFC supporters lauded the news of DCL’s call-up, with a couple of Blues labelling it as ‘brilliant:’
