'The best and worst example of this' - Many West Ham fans react to sport star's Irons tweet
Plenty of West Ham supporters have been reacting to a tweet from British sports star Jamie Murray following last night’s 4-0 drubbing of Wolves.
The distinguished tennis player took to Twitter (via @jamie_murray) to express his surprise over the result and described the Irons as the world’s “most random team”.
Free advice. Never ever bet money on West Ham to win/lose/draw. Worlds most random team.

David Moyes’ side had lost their first two Premier League games this season before their thrashing of a Wolves team which reached the quarter-finals of the Europa League last term, the result proving an ideal antidote to a sulphurous mood towards the club’s owners amid a lack of new signings.
West Ham have indeed produced remarkably inconsistent results dating back to last season. In 2019/20, they defeated two top-four clubs in Manchester United and Chelsea (twice), while being unlucky to lose at runaway champions Liverpool. However, they also lost twice to both Burnley and Crystal Palace and eventually limped to a 16th-placed finish.
These Irons fans on Twitter resorted to gallows humour in their replies to Murray’s tweet about their club’s wavering fortunes:
This is spot on, you never know what’s going to happen with us…
Oh but we definitely will lose to Man City https://t.co/z3KftRiHsO
