Sports'Beautiful', 'Good choice', 'Get it done' - Many AVFC fans buzz at loan link to 'quality player'
Many Aston Villa fans have reacted to a latest transfer report claiming the club are pushing to sign Chelsea midfielder Ruben Loftus-Cheek on loan.
Putting last season’s relegation battle behind them, the Midlands opened up the new season with a win over Sheffield United and with the transfer window still open, boss Dean Smith is expected to bring in some new faces to further bolster his squad options.
John Percy from The Telegraph claimed last week Smith is keen to find a new number 8 and that a potential loan deal for Loftus-Cheek has been mentioned.
Loftus-Cheek has made 10 appearances for England and has won two Premier League titles, but is seemingly going to struggle to find regular football under Frank Lampard this term with the Blues due to the healthy competition at Stamford Bridge – they have a plethora of midfielders including N’Golo Kante, Ross Barkley, Mateo Kovacic. Jorginho and Kai Havertz.
A fresh report from the Mail has now claimed that Villa want to push through a season long loan deal, although West Ham United and Southampton are both said to be keen.
Reacting to the report that was shared by Twitter account @villareport, fans gave their opinion on the potential of Loftus-Cheek’s arrival and it seems the majority are keen. That is probably due to his international experience and league title winning pedigree. One even labelled him a “quality player”:
