Joe Aribo enjoyed a decent season last term in his first campaign with Glasgow Rangers.
The Nigeria international joined on a free transfer from Chartlon Athletic last summer, and soon established himself as an important member of Steven Gerrard’s starting line-up. He ended up playing 48 goals in all competitions, scoring nine goals and providing eight assists, and he could even add to that when the Gers resume their Europa League campaign against Bayer Leverkusen.
The 2020/21 term is not just a big one for Aribo, though, but also for the Ibrox outfit as a whole as they look to win their first trophy since 2011. The Gers are now back in training, and Aribo took the opportunity to share a photo of himself with the caption: “Felt good to be back on the pitch”.
This has led to plenty of reaction from the Gers supporters, and they have been offering the £900,000-valued 23-year-old (as per Transfermarkt) encouragement. They have taken to Twitter to share their thoughts, and you can see some of the best comments from the social media platform below.
