'Finally some good news' – Many Liverpool fans buzz over this James Pearce update
Jurgen Klopp has confirmed that despite his recent injury, Jordan Henderson will lift the Premier League trophy.
The Liverpool skipper was brought off against Brighton on Wednesday after suffering an injury. It has since been confirmed by the club that he will play no further part in the remaining fixtures. However, Klopp has assured supporters the captain will be the one to lift the trophy once the season ends (relayed via James Pearce).
Liverpool wrapped up their first ever Premier League title in the fastest recorded time in the league’s history (via ESPN). The Reds are also on track to finish the season as centurions – they need just eight more points to finish with 100 points.
Many Liverpool supporters have flocked to Pearce’s tweet to share their excitement. One fan has commented saying ‘finally some good news’ as they look forward to watching Henderson celebrate their first league win in 30 years.
