Sports'Advantage Palace', 'Ayew serious' - Many Man Utd fans slam 'sharp shooter' as news emerges
Crystal Palace’s Christian Benteke will miss the match with Manchester United after receiving a red card against Aston Villa over the weekend.
Benteke was sent off at his old club as tempers boiled over after the final whistle had been blown in a bizarre turn of events. He kicked out at an opponent and has been ruled out for the clash with Man United as a result.
Regardless, the Red Devils won’t have been particularly concerned heading into the game at Selhurst Park on Thursday, as the Belgian has scored a mere 3 goals in 13 games against the club, winning just one game overall. In fact, he has only registered 2 goals in 24 appearances in the Premier League for the Eagles this season.
United will be brimming with confidence ahead of the trip to London, as they are currently enjoying an unbeaten run of 17 games at the time of writing.
First they must face Southampton on Monday and will be looking to keep their winning streak up to capitalise on Chelsea and Leicester’s slip-ups at the weekend.
Unsurprisingly, many United fans slammed Benteke on social media, with a couple of supporters sarcastically tweeting “advantage Palace” and branding him a “sharp shooter” in light of his pitiful record, while another added “Ayew serious” in reference to his more prolific teammate.
