Arsenal should look to pick up 16-goal PL ace on a free this summer- Opinion

Arsenal have been heavily linked with Ryan Fraser and the latest news on the winger might see the club attempt to sign him as he has refused a contract extension at Bournemouth.

Sky Sports reported the news following Bournemouth’s announcement yesterday which explained that the Scottish international, whose contract is due to expire on June 30, refused a short-term deal which would have meant that he could have played out the rest of the season.

With football being postponed and the Premier League only returning yesterday, it means that Fraser will only be available for a couple of weeks before he becomes a free agent.

The Scottish international has made 120 appearances for the Cherries in the Premier League, scoring 16 goals and supplying 29 assists, as per Transfermarkt. His best campaign was in 2018/19 where managed seven goals and 14 assists, as per WhoScored, as well as averaging 1.3 shots and 2.4 key passes per game.

If Arsenal could rekindle the form the winger had shown last season, then getting him on a free transfer would be a no-brainer. Even if its a risk based on the fact that he only has one goal and four assists this season, then it is one that the Gunners should take. It would add some experienced squad depth and he should be a great player to come off the bench if called upon.

Gunners fans, do you think the club should move for Fraser in the summer transfer window? Comment below with your views!
