SportsWest Ham could lose 'exciting' 6 ft 2 star in January as Inkersole shares news
Writing for football.london, journalist Sam Inkersole has claimed that West Ham United could part company with the ‘exciting‘ Andriy Yarmolenko in January – with new signing Said Benrahma tipped to take the creative mantle in place of the Ukrainian.
Inkersole, sharing an update from football.london, claims that three Hammers stars could make way in the winter window – as Yarmolenko, Ryan Fredericks and Felipe Anderson look most in danger of leaving.
Inkersole provides Yarmolenko update
The 6 ft 2 star has impressed in flashes since putting pen to paper on a deal with West Ham back in 2018, with Declan Rice even calling him ‘really special‘.
However, as David Moyes looks to shape the squad in his mould, Yarmolenko could part company with the Hammers – with Inkersole claiming he is too ‘one dimensional’ for the Scotsman.
The 31-year-old, often prone to injury, looks set to miss West Ham’s return clash from the international break against Sheffield United, and with only 18 months on his contract from January onwards, Inkersole claims it may well be time for the club to cash in on the player.

Looking like the Irons could lose an attacking option, if the club don’t decide to offer him an extension, the arguable best thing to do would be offloading Yarmolenko for a profit.
Valued at just £6.75 million by Transfermarkt, chairman David Gold, David Sullivan and Karren Brady could want far more given they invested nearly £18 million to bring him to the London Stadium.
Yarmolenko has struggled to make an impact over 2020/2021, it could be only a matter of time before West Ham lose the attacker.
