'Would be a massive loss', 'Need him back ASAP' - Lots of Everton fans discuss injury news
Lots of Everton fans have been discussing the injury news that Carlo Ancelotti gave about Allan after he was taken off in the Merseyside club’s 4-1 win at Goodison Park against fellow Premier League rivals West Ham United in the Carabao Cup fourth round stage.
Speaking to the media after the game, the Italian boss claimed (via the Toffees’ official Twitter page):
“I don’t think the injuries will be too bad. Kenny and Richarlison have ankle twists and Allan had a slight abductor problem. We will see tomorrow but it seems not too bad.”
Indeed, the claim that Jonjoe Kenny and Richarlison’s injuries will not be too bad will surely be a welcome relief to Ancelotti, but the thought that Allan may be okay as well is also an encouraging sign.
The Brazilian international won four of his duels against David Moyes’ team and also recorded three key passes, two tackles, two clearances and one interception despite only managing to play 69 minutes, according to Sofascore.
Allan has also played in every minute of each of the Blues’ three Premier League games so far in the 2020/21 term, further highlighting just how important he is to the side.
These EFC supporters discussed the injury news as they hope that the 29-year old central midfield player will recover quickly:
