'Shocker', 'Miles off the pace' - Lots of Everton fans slam 'bad player' after Liverpool display
Lots of Everton fans have slammed Andre Gomes after his performance against Liverpool in the Merseyside derby.
The Portugal international was deemed one of the worst performers on the pitch by Sofascore as he got a 6.1 overall rating, as the Blues managed to get a 2-2 draw in the end against their bitter rivals thanks to goals from Michael Keane and Dominic Calvert-Lewin.
Gomes was booked midway through the second half and only won four out of his 13 duels in the whole game, as per Sofascore. The 27-year old also only had 40 touches of the ball, which was one of the lowest numbers recorded out of anyone on the pitch, and he also failed to make any interceptions or get any shots on target.
If he does not improve on this performance in the Toffees’ upcoming games, then the midfielder may find himself dropped from Carlo Ancelotti’s starting XI.
