Sports'Rolls Royce', 'Different gravy this season' - Many RFC fans laud star who 'oozes class' vs Gala
Glasgow Rangers earned a place in the Europa League group stages following their 2-1 victory over Turkish giants Galatasaray.
The Gers beat Lincoln Red Imps and Willem II 5-0 and 4-0 respectively to make it to the play-off round, but it was always going to be a more challenging clash against Fatih Terim’s side. In the end, though, it was rather comfortable for Steven Gerrard’s team, with them leading 2-0 until the 87th minute.
There were a number of fantastic performances from Gerrard’s players, one of which came from Northern Ireland international Steven Davis. The boss said he “played with experience” and that his midfield overall was “outstanding”.
Davis may be 35 years old, but he still has plenty to offer to the Ibrox outfit. Irregardless of the future, though, some Gers supporters were absolutely delighted with his display against Gala – one fan even said he “oozes class” – and they took to Twitter to share their thoughts.
