Sports‘One of the best’ - Tottenham set to offer ‘fantastic’ £100k-per-week star new deal after Son
According to The Athletic, after Tottenham tie down star winger Son Heung-min with a new deal, the next ‘priority‘ for Daniel Levy is offering Hugo Lloris a fresh contract as well as his teammate.
Lloris, who has been a Spurs fan favourite ever since his move from Lyon in the summer of 2012, has gone on to feature 332 times for the club in all competitions after becoming their number one ‘keeper.
Lloris prioritised after Son
He was secured for a meagre £11.8m fee, with chairman Levy arguably pulling off one of the best deals of his reign in bringing the 33-year-old to north London. The Spurs and France captain has had quite the stellar career, amassing 117 international caps in total whilst thriving for Spurs in the Premier League – well worth every penny of his £100,000-a-week salary.
The Athletic have reported that a new deal for Lloris is said to be top ‘priority’ after the Lilywhites first tie down attacker Son. The Frenchman’s contract expires at the end of next season, with Levy and co looking to eventually offload him for a worthy fee without having to let him leave on a free transfer.

Described as ‘fantastic‘ by former Tottenham manager Mauricio Pochettino, Lloris has etched his name into Spurs folklore over a near decade-long stay, with former teammate Kieran Trippier also lauding him as ‘one of the best in the world‘.
The veteran has many admirers, including Spurs, and it’s not hard to see why the club wish to tie him down further after agreeing Son’s extension.
