Sports'Awful form from Rangers', 'Terrible' - Many RFC fans fans react as Ibrox departure is confirmed
It has been a hard time for many at Glasgow Rangers and across the footballing world, and it seems that the club’s Overseas Development Officer Gary Crooks is the latest casualty.
Crooks has been with the 54-time Scottish champions for the last five years, helping to grow the club’s international program during that time. However, the current pandemic has made it hard for teams to hold on to all their staff, and it seems the ‘Gers have made the difficult decision to let Crooks go.
The latter shared the news via Twitter, thanking everyone with whom he has worked during his time at Ibrox and expressing the desire to write new chapters in his life story. There were plenty of responses both from work colleagues as well as many fans of the club who have shared their condolences. One or two even expressed anger at the club for laying off a member of non-playing staff whilst paying big wages to members of the first team squad.
