'Amateur', 'Mental' - Some WBA fans fume over Steve Madeley's update on Baggies outcast
The Athletic journalist Steve Madeley has provided an update on the future of West Bromwich Albion winger Kamil Grosicki, who has been linked with a move to Nottingham Forest.
The Polish attacker, who is valued at £2.16m by Transfermarkt, arrived at The Hawthorns in January as Slaven Bilic sought to bolster his attacking options ahead of an ultimately successful promotion push. However, the 32-year-old struggled to make an impact in the Midlands and is yet to feature in the Premier League this term.
Playing behind the likes of Grady Diangana, Callum Robinson and Matheus Pereira, the former Hull City winger has since been linked with a move to Championship side Forest.
QUIZ: What do you know about Slaven Bilic’s first year in charge of the Baggies?
With the domestic transfer window closing last Friday at 5pm, it has since been confirmed that officials from the City Ground submitted paperwork to sign Grosicki – 21 seconds late, and they have been waiting for a decision on whether the deal can go through.
Madeley, who often tweets on affairs concerning West Brom, has now gained a response from plenty of Baggies fans with his latest update on Twitter.
Understand Forest have lawyers trying to convince the EFL to rubber-stamp the Grosicki loan. Forms submitted 21 seconds late but Forest hope, because it was still 17.00 and not 17.01, they’ll get the OK. Seems they’re banking on vagueness of the rules. #WBA #NFFC

Here’s how some Baggies fans reacted to Madeley’s update on Kamil Grosicki:
Common sense needed. Player wants the move and if both clubs are happy. Just let it go through. Shame because I think he’s got stuff to offer us off the bench. Then again that could be the problem. ‘off the bench’

Common sense should prevail. Unfortunately that phrase and football doesn’t often align.

Is there VAR of the fax being received? Have they got the lines to show if the front page exited the fax tray before 1700? Lets use the technology available…
