Sports'Condescending', 'Failing at hypocrisy' - Many RFC fans rage at pundit's tweet
Glasgow Rangers and the rest of the clubs around Scotland continue to play the 2020/21 campaign behind closed doors.
Six months down the line from when the global pandemic started to cause havoc in the UK, football in Scotland remains to be played without spectators at stadia. In some countries, such as Germany, supporters have already been able to enter grounds under certain conditions, but despite one or two test events, that has not been the case in Scotland.
Many people have contributed their opinion to the debate as to whether fans should return to stadiums, and it appears to have led to somewhat of a spat between Michael Stewart and Charlie Adam. The former has called for fans to return to grounds in the lower leagues, which comes after he called out Adam for saying that football should return to normal. In response, Stewart then decided to question the intelligence of the former Liverpool and Ibrox man.
Many ‘Gers supporters reacted in their droves to this exchange and they were far from happy with Stewart. They took to Twitter to share their thoughts and you can see some of the best comments from the social media platform below.
