'Won't someone think of the fans?', 'Cheers Rangers' - Many RFC fans discuss league announcement
Glasgow Rangers’ preparations for the new campaign are now in full flow.
The Gers are back in training, and will soon be flying to France to take part in the Veolia Trophy, which will also include Celtic, Nice and Lyon. After that, they will be looking straight ahead to their first match of the season in the Scottish Premiership, when they travel to Pittodrie to face Aberdeen.
Their first home game was meant to be on August 8th, but their Europa League commitments mean that that match has had to be rescheduled, and they will now play against St. Mirren the following day. Of course, there will be no fans in the stadium as it is not yet deemed safe due to the current pandemic.
The news has been shared by the Gers, and it has led to plenty of reaction from the club’s supporters. They have taken to Twitter to share their thoughts, and you can see some of the best comments from the social media platform below.
I hope we get knocked out first round no distractions this year. Winning the league is the priority.

That was an obvious change required when UEFA fixtures came out. Why the delay?
