Sports'Unstoppable', 'Too easy' - Lots of Man Utd fans wax lyrical over 'wonderful' news
Manchester United star Bruno Fernandes has been named the Premier League Player of the Month for June.
After arriving at Old Trafford from Sporting Lisbon in January, Fernandes has arguably been their best player by a country mile, although the premature end to the season briefly put a stop to proceedings.
He set the tone almost immediately after scoring the penalty that secured a hard-fought draw at Tottenham Hotspur, which was Man United’s first game back since the Premier League restart.
The Portuguese scored three goals in as many games in June, including a brace against Brighton, and he has been involved in more goals than any other player since the beginning of February. On the back of these statistics, it is hardly surprising he has picked up another award.
Fernandes has formed a formidable partnership with Paul Pogba, and the Red Devils duo inspired Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s side to victory over Aston Villa at Villa Park, with both midfielders bagging a goal a-piece.
Unsurprisingly, lots of United fans drooled over the “wonderful” news on social media, with one fan tweeting he is “unstoppable” in light of his recent form, while another added it is “too easy” for him.
