These Chelsea fans are all saying the same thing as Blues share departure news on Instagram
Chelsea have announced that Adelina Engman will be departing their women’s team this summer after agreeing terms with Montpellier.
The forward, who spent two years with the Blues, will be playing for the French side as of the 2020/21 season. Engman played an integral part in Chelsea’s road to their success in the Women’s Super League this campaign. Her late equaliser against Brighton to secure a point on the road has undoubtedly helped Emma Hayes’ side lift their third league trophy.
Chelsea have sent their well wishes to Engman after posting a photo on their official Instagram, with many fans of the club wishing her well with the move to France.
Unlike their male counterparts, Chelsea Women will not be returning to action this season. The 2019/20 WSL season was called to an early end, with the Blues crowned champions as a result of a points-per-game system (via BBC Sport).
With another title under their belts, they will be looking to retain their crown in the upcoming season, which will commence in September.
Engman is set to join Montpellier, who finished their league in fourth place this campaign.
