Many Chelsea fans can’t wait to see their side in action as their first match back in the Premier League creeps ever closer.
The Blues are preparing to face off against Aston Villa on the road and will be hoping to come away with a win as they push for Champions League football.
Lots of fans have predicted a masterclass from Tammy Abraham following a photo he uploaded on Instagram. The England international, who was on loan at Villa last season, is pictured training ahead of Chelsea’s meeting with Dean Smith’s side and he has captioned the photo ‘Counting down’.
Abraham has seriously impressed this season, leading Chelsea’s attack with his natural goal-scoring ability. Tallying 13 league goals for the campaign so far, the 22-year-old is in the top 10 highest scorers in the Premier League, level with the likes of Dominic Calvert-Lewin and Raul Jimenez (via BBC Sport).
The Blues are currently fourth in the table but Manchester United are closing in on a top four spot. Frank Lampard’s side must be ready to fight tooth and nail for their place in the Champions League next season.
They will certainly be in for an exciting 2020/21 term with the official addition of Timo Werner and, before then, they still have the prolific Abraham to enjoy.
