Report: Everton fighting Fulham to sign 6 ft 2 beast admired by Ancelotti
Everton are reportedly fighting Fulham to sign Gleison Bremer in the January transfer window, according to Tuttosport (via Football Italia).
As per the news outlet, the 23 year-old is apparently open to a move to the Goodison Park faithful to play under Carlo Ancelotti, although Torino are planning to offer him a new deal.
The Italian boss is also reportedly a big admirer of Bremer, and so a battle may well commence between him and Scott Parker to try and sign him once the window opens in January.
Bremer has been a rock this season
Indeed, Bremer has been a beast so far in the 2020/21 term for Torino, as he has won a quite impressive 3.5 duels a game in the Serie A, as well as averaging 5.2 clearances and 2.2 interceptions per match (Sofascore).
However, there may be a question mark as to whether the Merseyside club need to sign another central defender, given that they already have the likes of Ben Godfrey, Mason Holgate, Michael Keane and Yerry Mina already on their books at the moment.
Bremer may be a good squad player to have
Nonetheless, Bremer may be a good squad player to have around for the Toffees in case one or more of the centre-backs mentioned above were to get themselves injured for a sustained period of time.
Although he has no experience of playing in the Premier League before, the Serie A is still of a high quality, and with his 6 foot 2 frame, he should have the physical capacity to cope in the top flight.
