Many Manchester United fans have been left fuming after Marcus Rashford lauded former player Angel Gomes while speaking to A Bola.
As per his comments, Rashford still keeps in touch with Gomes following the latter’s free transfer to LOSC Lille in August earlier this year.
Rashford also hailed his displays for Boavista, the Portuguese team he is currently on loan with from Lille for the rest of the 2020/21 term.
Indeed, Gomes has scored three goals and made a further four assists in just five games in Liga NOS (Transfermarkt), showing the Old Trafford faithful what they have been missing by letting the England U20 international go on a free transfer.
On the other hand, the attacking midfield player only managed to make ten senior appearances in total for Man Utd over four consecutive seasons (Transfermarkt), and so perhaps there was not an obvious pathway for him to break into the first team at MUFC.

These Man United supporters fumed upon reading the comments from Rashford on Twitter, as they perhaps feel that the Red Devils should not have let Gomes go, given how well the 20 year-old is performing at the moment:
