'Could happen purely because of Ancelotti' - Everton tipped to move for 'outstanding talent'
Danny Mills has tipped Carlo Ancelotti to sign Isco for Everton following reports of interest from the Italian boss in the Real Madrid star.
Speaking to Football Insider, the former Leeds United and Manchester City defender believes that a deal for a player like Isco to go to Goodison Park is possible thanks to Ancelotti and the pulling power that he has:
“Isco could happen purely because of Ancelotti. Before him, do I think it would have happened? No, but this is Carlo Ancelotti.
“He’s brought in Allan, he’s brought in James Rodriguez, he clearly has a very close connection with players that he’s worked with. Players seem to like him an awful lot.
“He gets on well with and has a fantastic relationship with players he’s worked with previously, no matter what club that is. Nobody has a bad word to say about him.
“Isco’s out of favour and there’s every chance that is a deal that can be pulled off.
“Isco is a magnificent player. It’s a bit like Gareth Bale, how can you not use players of their ability? It doesn’t matter if you’re Real Madrid or Barcelona or whoever.
“Isco is an outstanding talent and he’s not young anymore. He’s an experienced player and very talented.
“If anyone can pull that off, certainly Carlo Ancelotti can.”
Isco could be Carlo’s best signing yet
Indeed, Isco would be nothing short of a great signing for the Merseyside club given what he has achieved in the beautiful game so far in his career.
The 28 year-old is a serial winner, having won no fewer than four UEFA Champions League trophies, in addition to two La Liga titles and several other major accolades while playing for Los Blancos (Transfermarkt).
His winning mentality is certainly a key asset that he can bring off the pitch, but on the pitch the Spain international has an eye for goals and assists too, having scored 51 goals and supplied a further 54 assists in 312 matches over all competitions for the Spanish giants over the last eight consecutive seasons (Transfermarkt).
Thrive at Goodison
Indeed, Isco may well thrive under Ancelotti given that he has been under his management style before, and the attacking midfield player may also enjoy linking up with his former teammate in James Rodriguez.
He would certainly be a statement signing from the Toffees should they be able to get this deal over the line.
