Sports‘Been told’ - West Ham could be closer to landing £110k-per-week ‘king’ after January claim
Writing on Twitter, the Athletic correspondent Simon Johnson has dropped a huge update on the future of Chelsea striker Olivier Giroud – going on to claim he has ‘been told‘ the Frenchman could push for a January exit.
Giroud, who has been targeted by Hammers boss David Moyes as a potential solution to his striking dilemma, with star man Michail Antonio often succumbing to injury problems, looks more likely than ever to leave Stamford Bridge due to his lack of playing time.

Indeed, the £110,000-per-week star has found Premier League minutes very rare this season, and Johnson believes he could push for a January exit according to his sources.
West Ham insiders Claret & Hugh recently claimed that Giroud is a viable target for the club, especially with his meagre market value and contract situation.
Now, with the 6 foot 3 ‘king‘ unsettled and open to leaving in the winter window, it appears the Hammers could now be closer to landing another striking option – ridding Moyes of his over-dependence on Antonio.

French news outlet Téléfoot Chaine, via Get French Football News, have also reported that the 34-year-old looks set to quit Chelsea as the postponed Euro 2020 Championship awaits next year.
These reports indicate West Ham could be closer than ever to landing a proven goal scorer, with there being reason for Irons to become potentially excited.
