Oriol Romeu has been in fantastic form for Southampton so far this campaign.
The Saints are currently fourth in the Premiership, having won five of their first eight games in the competition, and Romeu has been at the heart of the good things they have achieved. He has played in every single match so far, and even scored a fantastic goal against West Brom in a 2-0 victory.
Since signing from Chelsea in 2015, he has made 198 appearances, and has been an ever-present both in the good times and the bad. Now, he is arguably closed to his peak. The £7.2m-valued 29-year-old (Transfermarkt) has averaged a WhoScored rating of 7.15 in the league this time out, racking up 3.9 tackles and 1.6 interceptions per clash.
On Monday, Southampton’s official Twitter account shared a video of him, applauding his ability, and it has attracted the attention of the club’s supporters. They took to the social media platform to share their thoughts.
