£5.40m-rated speedster with 88 goals presents bargain opportunity for Crystal Palace
Crystal Palace bolstered their attack with the loan signing of Michy Batshuayi in the summer, but reports suggest they could strengthen even more, with Ahmed Musa the latest name linked.
The latest update on Musa
According to TEAMtalk, striker Ahmed Musa is hoping to secure a move back to English football in the coming weeks.
He left Al Nassr last month so he is now a free agent. This has seen a lot of sides monitor him, with the 28 year-old attracting interest from around Europe, but he is believed to be keen on having another crack at the Premier League.
Various sides in England’s top flight have been approached to see if they would like to acquire the player, including Newcastle, West Ham, Burnley and Sheffield United, as well as Palace.
Would the striker be a good signing?
Musa, who is valued at £5.40 million, has an abundance of experience across the globe and also in England with Leicester City.
Across his career, which has also included many appearances in the Champions League, Musa has scored 88 goals and picked up 62 assists. He has also won an array of trophies, including one for Nigeria when they won the African Cup of Nations back in 2013 (Transfermarkt).
As a free agent, he would be not too much of a risky signing as he shouldn’t be too expensive wage-wise. Although the South London side have an abundance of quality and depth upfront with Christian Benteke, Michy Batshuayi and Wilfried Zaha (to name a few), a free transfer would certainly be a bargain if it were to happen.
