'He doesn’t know what Rangers are all about' - Many RFC fans slam 'biggest waste of £4m'
Glasgow Rangers may have continued their fantastic form in the Europa League on Thursday night, but Ianis Hagi did not put in his best display.
The Ibrox outfit beat Standard Liege in Belgium to start their group stage campaign in the best possible way. They ended up prevailing 2-0 thanks to a penalty from James Tavernier and an outrageous strike from Kemar Roofe. We are now 15 games into the new campaign and Steven Gerrard’s side are still unbeaten.
However, Romania international Hagi was far from his best. On the right wing, he looked to be a passenger, winning only one of his two duels and managing just one shot. As such, it was not surprising to see him replaced by Joe Aribo in the 67th minute.
It was clear that some Rangers fans were far from happy with his display and they took to social media platform Twitter to share their thoughts. One supporter even questioned the £4m price tag of the 22-year-old.
Let’s see what the fans had to say about Hagi below
Biggest waste of £4m you will ever see in Hagi

Second half is dragging in. Right call taking Hagi off. Poor. Playing some decent stuff, need to take chances

Joe Aribo is miles in front of Hagi.

To me, Hagi looks like he doesn’t know what Rangers are all about. Hope he proves me wrong at some point.

Hagi and Morelos had shockers, Barisic got injured. Rested the very inform Davis and Helander. Jones Zungu and Defoe not even in the squad, And we still won 2-0 away in Europe. Bassey and Roofe were fantastic when they can on our squad depth is great atm.

Roofe has to start the next game, Morelos was abysmal again tonight. Hagi was an empty jersey too. Itten or Aribo in at the weekend too I think.
