‘For those asking’ - Alasdair Gold reveals when new signing will make Spurs debut
Writing on Twitter, Football.London correspondent Alasdair Gold has revealed when new summer signing Carlos Vinicius will make his Tottenham debut, going on to claim that he’ll be available for selection after the international break.
For those asking if Carlos Vinicius can play against Man United, as I suggested in my piece this morning the club might announce it without the work permit sorted and that's what's happened. It's a formality and will be approved on Monday, so he'll be available after the break.

Tottenham announced their sixth summer signing on Friday as Benfica star Vinicius joins the club on a season-long loan deal with a £40.7m option to buy at the end of the season (Fabrizio Romano).
Scoring 24 goals in all competitions for the Liga NOS giants in 2019/20, the 6ft 3 attacker has been lauded as a ‘beast‘ for good reason, and it now appears that Daniel Levy and co have added a stellar striking option who can support main target man Harry Kane.
Spurs also had to pay an initial £2.7m loan fee up front to Benfica, and if he does put pen to paper on on a permanent deal, the contract will last until June 2025.
The acquisition of Vinicius has put an end to Tottenham’s lengthy search for an additional strike, with the Lilywhites having previously failed to bring in a replacement for Fernando Llorente after letting him leave as a free agent last year.
Now, with the quest for a forward reaching its conclusion, one question remains – when will Tottenham supporters see the 25-year-old in Premier League action?
Spurs correspondent Gold has provided an answer on social media, and Lilywhites can expect to see Vinicius at any point soon after the international break, specifically once his work permit has been sorted and approved.
Even though Vinicius won’t be able to feature against Jose Mourinho’s former side Manchester United this afternoon, Tottenham will soon add more firepower once formalities have been cleared up, with the striker’s debut set to come in the next couple of weeks after Friday’s welcome business.
