Sports45-cap PL midfielder reportedly on his way to Glasgow for Rangers medical ahead of loan move
According to Fourth Official, Muhamed Besic is travelling to Scotland to have a medical with Glasgow Rangers ahead of a season-long loan move to Ibrox.
The Gers have been linked with the 28-year-old, although there has been some confusion in regards to previous reports, with Bosnian press quoting British media and vice-versa. However, it now seems that a deal is close, or at least according to this report, with the Bosnian international set to make a move to the 54-time Scottish champions on a temporary basis.
This is a very interesting move for Steven Gerrard and co. Besic has 45 caps for his country, played at the 2014 World Cup and has managed 56 appearances for Everton since joining in 2014. In more recent times, he has struggled for game time – he spent last year on loan at Sheffield United and only made 13 appearances during his time there – but at 28 there is still plenty of time for him to get back to his best form.
He is a formidable force from a defensive point of view, with him averaging almost two tackles per game throughout his career, whilst he also has an average passing accuracy of 86%. Quite frankly, it would be hard for Gerrard to find a better bargain with just days left of the transfer window. If the rumour is true, this could be a fantastic new arrival.
