'Puzzling', 'Sounds like a call for an investigation' - Many RFC fans react to chairman's quotes
Glasgow Rangers can only watch on as the credibility of the game north of the border continues to be dragged through the mud.
In all fairness, it was the Gers themselves who first cast the light onto the problems in Scottish football – it was themselves who accused the SPFL of corruption, putting together a 200-page dossier in an attempt to prove as much, whilst they even demanded an independent investigation into the governing body. In the end, only 12 other sides agreed with the Ibrox outfit, but their point had already been made.
Now, it is Hearts and Partick Thistle who lead the charge against the authority. They are in front of an arbitration panel as they look to get their relegations overturned, and they are facing the SPFL, Dundee United, Cove Rangers and Raith Rovers.
Those three sides have asked for money from the other clubs in Scotland to help with their legal fees. Lachlan Cameron, the chairman of Ayr United, has now confirmed that he will contribute to their battle in court, whilst also saying that there should be a commissioner to police self-interest north of the border. This has attracted the attention of the Gers supporters, and they have taken to Twitter to share their thoughts. You can see some of the best comments from the social media platform below.

Dundee’s NO vote should have stood, but they were pressured into changing it. Everything that has transpired since that vote change, is down to the conduct of the SPFL. Hopefully arbitration will get to the root of it.

Sounds like a call for an investigation. What irony.

Lauchlan Cameron’s comment about Null and Void being potentially more damaging is puzzling – refers to TV companies having a right to clawback funds if they (the SPFL) did not “produce as season”. However, season is defined in Articles as 38 games so they still failed on this.
