'Better than Rooney's' - Many LFC fans reminisce over 'wonderful goal'
Liverpool fans have been looking back at Emre Can’s overhead kick during his side’s 1-0 win against Watford in 2017.
It was an effort that resulted in him being award the goal of the season during the 2016/17 campaign, which helped secure their place back in the Champions League.
A lofted ball from former Red Lucas Leiva left the Germany international with a lot to do. He adjusted his position and executed a superb overhead kick that went beyond the Watford goalkeeper Heurelho Gomes in between the sticks and high into the net.
Upon reflection, Can was described as the ‘Rocket Man‘, coincidently scoring at Vicarage Road, the home of the club’s honorary life-president Sir Elton John.
