'Criminal', 'How on Earth?' - Many Sunderland fans left unhappy by official club post

Sunderland fans were far from happy with the League One Team of the Week, which included just one of their players despite their 4-0 thumping of Crewe Alexandra.

The Black Cats were in fantastic form as they won away from home thanks to a brace from Ross Stewart and a strike from Leon Dajaku, as well as an own goal. They are now second in the League One table, one point behind Plymouth Argyle, and they also have two games in hand (BBC).

The League One Team of the Week has been released however, with Ross Stewart the only player from the Stadium of Light in the starting XI.

Given they put in such an impressive display and were comprehensively victorious, it is surprising that others were not included, and the north-east outfit’s supporters believe they’ve been hard done by.

The team was shared on Twitter by the club’s official account, and it attracted plenty of attention from the supporters. They took to the social media platform to share their thoughts.

Let’s see what the fans had to say about the TOTW below
