According to 90min, Palace are weighing up whether to talk with Fonseca, who almost joined Tottenham.
The report adds that, should Palace want to discuss a move with Fonseca, they’ll have to be quick, as he is in negotiations with Italian side Fiorentina.
Steve Parish is still looking for Roy Hodgson’s long-term successor and has come close twice already with moves for Nuno Espirito Santo and Lucien Favre.
Deals for both available bosses collapsed in the end and it seems as if Fonseca and Swansea City’s Steve Cooper are on the club’s radar.
Cooper’s £3m fee to take him from the Liberty Stadium remains an issue, according to 90min.
