'Not good' - Mark Douglas shares 'interesting' NUFC takeover update as Masters news emerges
In a recent post on Twitter, Mark Douglas shared Richard Masters’ response to the MP Liz Twist regarding Newcastle United’s failed takeover bid.
In the letter written by Masters, which was originally shared on Twitter by Newcastle Fans TV, the Premier League chief confirmed that arbitration is ongoing regarding Newcastle’s failed takeover bid, while also stating that the process is ‘confidential’ in order for ‘forthright opinions’ to be expressed.
Douglas then added his own thoughts on the letter, deeming Masters’ response as ‘interesting‘, before claiming that he believes there is a tendency to ‘hide behind confidentiality‘ as a way of offering ‘no communication’ on a particular subject, something which the journalist feels is ‘not good‘.

Considering the fact that Masters and the Premier League have not exactly been forthcoming with information and have offered very little insight into why the Newcastle takeover was rejected, it is not surprising that Douglas is sceptical about Masters’ claim that he can not reveal anything about the arbitration process.
However, the letter does indicate that there is some movement regarding the progression of the issues surrounding takeover attempt, which, after all this time, will likely offer Newcastle fans some form of comfort.
