'Newcastle were in the driving seat': Graham Carr drops big claim on £49.5m-valued former target

Former chief scout at Newcastle United Graham Carr has dropped a very interesting transfer claim on James Maddison. Speaking to The Chronicle, he claimed that ‘Newcastle were in the driving seat’ to sign the now Leicester City ace back when he was playing for Coventry City, because of previous dealings between them and the St. James’ Park faithful with regards to Adam Armstrong.
