The latest reports suggest that Crystal Palace are finally making a move to sign transfer target Christian Kouame.

According to La Nazione, via Sports Witness, Crystal Palace ‘have moved’ for the player this month, along with Marseille and Eintracht Frankfurt.
Would this be a good signing?
There has been tonnes of speculation surrounding the Ivorian, and he was close to a move to the South London side in 2020 but he suffered a serious knee injury.
With him back playing again, it looks like Palace would like to bring him to the club, and he has been linked for the last few weeks. The fact the reports now say that the Eagles ‘have moved’ for the player suggests that this pursuit has sped up.
The 24-year-old currently plays in the Serie A. He has a decent – albeit hardly prolific – record across his career so far as he has 33 goals and 29 assists in 196 appearances (Transfermarkt).
This season hasn’t been great for the £12.6m-valued ace. He has only managed one goal in 16 league appearances (Transfermarkt). The player has clearly been inconsistent throughout this campaign as he has only started in five of these games, which is also perhaps why he could be on the move.
