'Wow' - Loads of Palace fans react as Hodgson reveals 'we're now waiting' in injury update

The international break is now over and Crystal Palace fans are building up to their game on Monday against Burnley. The South London side will want to continue their good form after beating Leeds United 4-1 and Roy Hodgson has provided a very positive injury update before the fixture.

Speaking in his press conference, the manager said: “Tyrick and Tomkins both trained today and are fit. Martin Kelly also joined training following an injury he picked up. We’re now waiting to see how our internationals come back.”

Tyrick Mitchell is now starting to become a fan favourite for his defensive work. He emerged from the youth academy at the end of last season. This season, he has made 24 tackles in total, which is the joint-fourth most in the league.  The 21-year old managed on average 2.3 clearances and four tackles a game this term (WhoScored).

Meanwhile, Tomkins has been a solid player for the club ever since he signed from West Ham. The centre-back has made over 100 appearances for the South London side. Therefore the two looking to be fully fit before the heavily congested fixtures over the December period is a huge boost for Hodgson and of course the fans in SE25.
