Sports'Competition for Trezeguet' - Many AVFC fans discuss 'incredible' £20.5m transfer target
Many Aston Villa fans are reacting to comments from former striker Gabriel Agbonlahor about one of their summer transfer targets, Milot Rashica.
Agbonlahor believes the club should look to further pursue the signing, who will be allowed to leave Bundesliga side Werder Bremen in January. Villa were linked heavily to the player in the summer and were reportedly close to agreeing a £20.5 million deal.
The winger had a good campaign in 2019/20 as he picked up eight goals and eight assists in 28 Bundesliga appearances (WhoScored). This season tells a different tale so far as he has only started once.
Manager of Werder Bremen, Florian Kohfeldt, has said of the young forward: ‘Milot has incredible skills. In speed, in goal scoring, in passing.’
Rashica could give the club some much-needed squad depth, and with the club sixth in the division, some added quality could be what is needed to make sure they stay closer to the top of the league than the bottom.

Offer him less than he was asking for in summer and see if he says yes. No harm in bringing in another quality winger. At the very least, it adds competition for Trez
