Sports21 y/o Rangers starlet reveals potential surprise Liege inclusion on Instagram
Jamie Barjonas has revealed he could be in Rangers’ squad to face Standard Liege on Thursday after he posted a picture of himself on Instagram which was taken in the Belgian city.
Barjonas may make season bow
The Ibrox outfit kick off their campaign against Liege this Thursday. Barjonas is yet to appear for Steven Gerrard’s side so far this campaign, but he was praised by the boss following his goal in pre-season against Nice.
Now, he has suggested that he could be in line to make an appearance, with him revealing his location on the popular social media platform.
Gerrard must rotate
The games are now coming thick and fast for the 54-time Scottish champions – Gerrard must use his squad to its full. Barjonas is unlikely to be the first name on the teamsheet, of course, given his lack of playing time this term. But the fact that he has travelled with the group at least suggests he is in the manager’s thoughts.
With that praise before the campaign began, Gerrard did admit that Barjonas had done enough to earn himself some more opportunities. As such, it is not beyond the realms of possibility that he may perhaps be named on the bench. If he does get a chance to show what he is capable of, it is essential that he grabs it with both hands.
