'Pointless', 'A risk we can't afford' - Many LUFC fans react to Phil Hay tweet
Jean-Kevin Augustin’s spell at Leeds United has not gone exactly to plan so far.
The 22-year-old joined on loan from RB Leipzig in January after his short-term spell at Monaco was brought to an end. Marcelo Bielsa will have been hoping that he could add an attacking edge to his side as they looked to win promotion to the Premier League, but he has failed to make any real impact, making just three substitute appearances to date.
Injuries have been an issue and, as the return of Championship football looms, it seems that the Frenchman will once again be on the sidelines (The Athletic via Leeds Live). As such, journalist Phil Hay has written an article for The Athletic questioning whether Leeds should sign Augustin permanently.
The response from the Elland Road outfit’s supporters is pretty emphatic – they don’t want him to join them on a permanent basis, it would appear. They have taken to Twitter to share their thoughts, and you can see some of the best comments from the social media platform below.
Hope so, he’s dead weight, will never be/stay fit! https://t.co/yIRsdHUnib

We didn’t see much of him but always felt like a panic buy to me. Personally, I think he’s a risk we can’t afford and certainly wouldn’t be good enough if we went up.
