'I am sure he will get his move' - PL star's teammate makes big claim on Everton transfer target
Andros Townsend has tipped Wilfried Zaha to leave Crystal Palace amid transfer interest from Everton, as per talkSPORT (via Liverpool Echo).
Speaking to the radio station, the 29-year old said: “I am sure he will get his move.”
Indeed, Zaha was linked to a move to the Goodison Park faithful in the summer transfer window but a deal never materialised. However, Townsend believes that the Ivory Coast international will eventually get a move away from Selhurst Park, whether that is to the Merseyside club or not.
Zaha has been in great form
Indeed, Zaha has been in great form for the Eagles so far in 2020/21, scoring no fewer than five goals and providing one assist in just six games in the Premier League (Transfermarkt).
Unfortunately for Carlo Ancelotti’s team, the better the 27-year old plays, the more likely that his price tag will rise if the Toffees eventually decide to make a move for him.
Would Zaha improve Everton?
Indeed, there is a debate as to whether Zaha would actually improve the Blues, given that James Rodriguez and Richarlison already occupy the wide roles for Everton at the moment.
Nonetheless, the winger would arguably still add quality to the side, as aside from the goals and assists that he has provided in the top flight so far this season, Zaha has also won 5.8 of his duels per game and averaged 1.8 successful dribbles, 1.7 shots and 1.5 key passes per match (Sofascore).
However, a sizeable transfer fee may be needed in order to try and persuade Roy Hodgson’s team to sell Zaha in the near future.
